As you know The Pied Horse pool team, Bristol has been testing the latest prototype in competition lighting from Riley. Reports have come back that the original design with four lighting tubes was too bright for pool table use, so the original design with the four lights will be used solely for full size snooker tables, as per the below image.
However the new design is now out and they have created a more slim line design to suit the two strip light. Below you will see the new design over a 7ft Westbury table. Reviews of the brand new lighting have come back from those testing the lighting and have commented that the new lighting design really does make the game feel more serious, the lighting makes the table nice and bright without blinding you when trying to play a shot.
Riley and BCE have worked fast together and this fantastic new competition lighting is going to be available from the 1st of February 2007.
